50 nuances d'été - week 12

Here we are, already in the final week of this summer's project! I had one of the best summers ever this year, and while I missed a few blogposts while away on vacation, I don't regret taking a break from the computer one bit! I am really pleased with the images I was able to compile over the past 12 weeks, and I enjoyed the format of publishing 4 images each week that somehow told a story when viewed together.

Well, last week at this time, Miss C and I were in Florence, Italy, where we spent 5 days exploring and enjoying this beautiful city. We stayed in a charming Bed & Breakfast, and were booked in a room with a nice view towards the clocktower. It was nothing particularly fancy, but it was just perfect for our mother-daughter Florentine adventure. While I barely took my camera out on this vacation, I did manage to use it in my attempt to capture my sweet travel partner and the old world charm of our environment. Looking at these images now, I am taken right back to our unforgettable 2 weeks of travel adventure together... it really was la dolce vita.

And that's a wrap for another 50 nuances d'été project! I invite you to take a moment to check out Genevieve's final summer blog post, and then follow the entire loop to see how my fellow photographers captured their last week of summer.
